Looking for the latest youth-enhancing treatment around? Tired of the aging process getting in the way? If you suffer from loss of skin laxity or early signs of jowls, but are not wanting to commit to full surgery, then look no further!

WiTh Medical Clinic (Jack Behfarin MD Clinic) now offers the new “lunchtime facelift”. An Instalift is a non-surgical facelift, minimally invasive cosmetic procedures, and only  FDA approval as thread facelift.

What is Silhouette Instalift exactly?

Silhouette Instalift is a simple medical office procedure that involves placement of absorbable (dissolving) suture material under the skin. The suture pulls up on the cheek, jowl and jawline area, and suspends it naturally and beautifully.

How does Silhouette Instalift work?

Silhouette InstaLift is a FDA approved procedure that simply re-contours your face, while lifting the deeper layers of your skin for a more youthful appearance. Each procedure is a bit different, and tailored to address each patient’s needs. The threads contain sutures with bidirectional cones to reposition and elevate the skin of your face. There is a tightening effect that can occur immediately and will improve further over a 3 to 6 month period. This medical office procedure is comfortable with minimal discomfort and typically takes less than 45 minutes to complete. Over time those sutures will naturally be absorbed by your body, while stimulating production of collagen to aid healthy renewal of your skin to produce natural-looking, long lasting results.

What are Silhouette Instalift sutures made of?

Silhouette InstaLift sutures are made from Polyglycolide/L-lactide (PLGA), a polymer that is frequently used in medical devices and is well tolerated by the body. The fully reabsorb-able sutures have bidirectional cones that provide both lift and excellent anchoring to the subcutaneous tissue.

What about Silhouette Instalift makes it different from threadlifts of the past?

Many threadlifts of the past contained nonabsorbable sutures, and were placed differently on the face. This placement often caused un-natural pulling, and visibility of the tracks in the skin when the patient was smiling, talking or even just moving their head. Silhouette Instalift, on the other hand, contain absorbable sutures, are placed deeper in the depth of the skin, and simply the placement of these threads make a huge difference! Silhouette Instalift offers biodegradable sutures in their threads, which means they will dissolve slowly over time, all the while stimulating new collagen growth in the placement areas!

When can I expect to see results, and how long do the Silhouette Instalift results last?

Patients can expect to see a lifting effect immediately following the placement of the threads, however the results will continue to improve for approximately 3 to 6 months following their treatment. As each patient is different, results will vary but will typically last anywhere from 1 year to 18 months! Silhouette Instalift can also be used in conjunction with other fillers or procedures for even better results!

Who would be good candidate for Silhouette Instalift?

The best Silhouette InstaLift have normal skin thickness and mild to moderate skin laxity without heavy folds or jowls. This procedure is also an excellent option for younger men and women who wish to delay the signs of aging or achieve subtle rejuvenation results in the brow, cheek, jowls or neck. Extremely thin patients with decreased skin thickness may not be good candidates, as the sutures reside in the fat layer, making proper placement more challenging.

How much downtime can be expected after the Silhouette Instalift procedure?

While individual results may vary, patients can expect mild to even minimal soreness for a day or two. Much like a filler procedure, social activities can be resumed 24-48 hours later.

What are the possible side effects of Silhouette Instalift?

Possible side effects could include mild soreness in the areas of placement for the first few days. Much like the filler, you can experience minor swelling or bruising. Individuals with an allergy to PLLA or PGA should avoid this procedure or an inflammation can occur. Patients should also avoid chewing hard foods for about a week following procedure
